Casey Jackson is a documentary photographer and visual artist  based out of Huntsville, Texas focusing on long term intimate documentaries  based around family, regional development, and the ever changing world around us.

In his early years mentors  at New Waverly high School encouraged Casey to explore photography as a creative outlet , where he honed his skills working with local newspapers and commercial photographers. Rooted in the rhythms of small-town life, his early experiences shaped a deep interest in people, storytelling, and the quiet moments that define everyday living. These interest would push him to pursue a career as an artist and documentary photographer.
He later earned a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, specializing in documentary photography, which led to working as both a staff and freelance photojournalist for regional Texas newspapers and national publications.
After several long years in the newsroom, he returned to East Texas to focus on long-term personal projects centered in and around his hometown of New Waverly. He currently works on a ranch to support his fine art practice. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States.

While his work has always been committed to intimate, deeply personal story-telling, Casey has recently dedicated his work to shedding light on social issues in and around the region. His goal is to use the power of photography to document people and their stories in order to give others a glimpse into a world they normally wouldn’t be able to see. He also aims to tell these stories in an empowering way to give people a voice they might not otherwise have in order to bring awareness and understanding.
